Cape Breton Regional Police have charged three people after two drug busts that led to seizures of oxycodone and cocaine.

The first search happened Monday afternoon in a home on Veterans Ave. in Membertou. Police said they found oxycodone and cash.

A 25-year-old woman was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. She’s been released and will be back in court on Dec. 16.

Later, at 7:30 p.m., police searched another home on Rotary Drive in Sydney. Inside, they said they seized cocaine and cash.

A 22-year-old man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, and a 28-year-old woman has been charged with possession of cocaine.

The man is still in custody and will appear in provincial court Tuesday morning. The woman has been released and is scheduled to be back in court on Dec. 16.
