Cleanup crews will be back in the Bedford area today trying to mop up an oil spill near the Little Sackville River.

About 120 litres of oil from Nova Scotia Power transformers leaked on Tuesday night during high winds.

A vacuum truck was called in for the cleanup and water booms have been placed from the storm water outfall to the Little Sackville River. The Halifax Water Commission and Nova Scotia Power are both aiding in the cleanup.

Officials with the Department of the Environment said they will reassess the situation on Thursday.
