An RCMP officer was taken to hospital after his police cruiser was hit on a Nova Scotia highway.
Police say the two-vehicle collision happened on Highway 101 in Digby on Friday morning.
The Mounties say one of their vehicles and a pickup truck were travelling in the same direction when the police vehicle made a U-turn with its emergency lights activated and was hit from behind by the truck.
The officer, a 26-year-old man, was taken to hospital as a precaution and later released.
Police say the driver of the truck, a 38-year-old woman, was not injured.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged and the crash is being investigated.
