Burned body found in Oakfield Park is a homicide

Police have ruled the burned body of a man found at the entrance of a Nova Scotia park is a homicide. (CBC)

Nova Scotia police have released the name of the man found in Oakfield Provincial Park on New Year's Day.

Mathew Anthony Penney of Dartmouth was 26 years old.

The RCMP have not said how he died. His burned body was discovered on New Year's Day.

An autopsy was performed on Thursday.

Cpl. Scott MacRae asked anyone with information about the homicide to contact police.
