Nova Scotia man dead in Annapolis Valley head-on crash
Highway 358 is closed in both directions and RCMP expect it will be closed for several hours
A 25-year-old man is dead after a head-on collision on Highway 358 in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley late Tuesday afternoon.
Kings County RCMP say they got the call around 5:45 p.m. to the Arlington/North Corner area. They responded along with Emergency Health Services and Canning Fire Department to find a pick-up truck and a sedan had collided.
Investigators say the truck was heading northbound, the car southbound. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
RCMP say the victim was from New Minas, but no names have been released.
The truck driver was looked at by EHS and released. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles.
Highway 358 is closed in both directions and RCMP expect it will be closed for several hours while police continue on scene. A collision reconstructionist has been called to assist with the investigation.
