No one was injured after a drive-by shooting Friday night in a small northern Cape Breton community.

Cpl. Scott MacRae, with Nova Scotia RCMP media relations, said police received a report of shots fired around 9:30 p.m. in Bay St. Lawrence.

A woman called police saying that someone had shot at and hit her vehicle while she was driving by a home on Meat Cove Road.

A 26-year-old man was arrested without incident around 1:30 Saturday morning.

He will remain in custody until Monday when he'll appear in court, facing charges of careless use of a firearm and pointing a firearm.
