Renovations to the Alderney Landing terminal means there will be no ferry service for four consecutive Sundays.

The Halifax-Dartmouth ferry will be out of commission the next four Sundays due to renovations at the Alderney Landing terminal.

Bus shuttles will run passengers between Alderney Landing and Lower Water street on the same schedule as the ferry.

The first day without ferry service is April 6. The city says it needs to shut down Sunday service to complete tile work and overhead work on the ramp.

The terminal renovations have included new washrooms, a new entrance and updates to the passenger area.
