New judges appointed to Nova Scotia Supreme Court

Two men and two women have been appointed judges to the Nova Scotia Supreme Court.

Judge Ted Scanlan promoted to N.S. Court of Appeal

Two men and two women have been appointed judges to the Nova Scotia Supreme Court.They include:

  • Robin Gogan of The Breton Law Group in Sydney, who has been a lawyer for 18 years
  • Elizabeth Van den Eynden, a lawyer at MacIntosh, MacDonnell and MacDonald in New Glasgow who has worked for 25 years
  • Joshua M. Arnold, a partner at Arnold McKiggan Hutchinson, who has worked for 23 years
  • James Chipman, a partner at Stewart McKelvey in Halifax, who has been a lawyer for 20 years

The appointments take effect immediately.

The Nova Scotia Court of Appeal also has a new addition. Justice Ted Scanlan has been elevated from the Province's Supreme Court in Truro.
