New Glasgow man burned in NSP break-in
A man was badly burned after an apparent break-and-enter at a Nova Scotia Power substation on Saturday.
Sheet Harbour RCMP received a report that someone had broken into the substation and caused a power outage.
"Upon arrival at the scene, police noted that a hole had been cut in the fence surrounding the power station. The RCMP were also notified that a 21-year-old had been transported to QEII Hospital with serious electrical burns," said Staff Sgt. Gerald Grobmeier.
The man is from New Glasgow. Police aren't yet sure how he got to hospital with such bad burns. It's not clear what he was seeking.
The man remains in hospital and the investigation is continuing.
