N.S. doctor not guilty of assaulting patient
A doctor accused of sexually assaulting a woman was found not guilty Friday in Nova Scotia Supreme Court.
Dr. Oluwarotimi Fashoranti was charged with sexually assaulting a female patient at the All Saints Hospital in Springhill on July 29, 2010.
Fashoranti declined to comment while leaving the courtroom but his lawyer, Joel Pink, told the Amherst Daily News that his client is looking forward to getting back to work.
The complainant's identity is protected by a publication ban.
After he was charged, Fashoranti withdrew his services from the emergency room at the hospital but was still seeing patients in Pugwash. He was also doing procedures at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, but was being chaperoned.
