N.S. boy, 11, shot in leg during hunting trip
Windsor RCMP say they may charge 65-year-old man with careless use of firearm
An 11-year-old boy from Martock, N.S., was shot in the leg during a deer hunting trip Saturday morning, and RCMP say they may charge a 65-year-old man with careless use of a firearm.
Windsor RCMP say the boy’s injuries are not life-threatening and that he was flown by LifeFlight to the Queen Elizabeth II hospital in Halifax.
Police were called to St. Croix, N.S., around 7:15 a.m. and say the boy was shot with a shotgun.
They have not released the names of the boy or the adult and won’t say what the relationship is between the two.
