Two motorcyclists were airlifted to hospital this weekend following separate crashes on Nova Scotia roads, RCMP say.

One person was injured in the Annapolis Valley Sunday afternoon. Police have not said how many vehicles were involved in the crash.

A section of Greenfield Road between Ridge Road and White Rock Road outside Wolfville was closed in order for a collision analyst to examine the scene.

Single-vehicle crash

A 76-year-old man from Oregon was taken to hospital in Halifax after his motorcycle crashed on Highway 104 near Salt Springs Saturday afternoon.

Police said the man was in critical condition Saturday. They had no information on his condition Sunday.

RCMP said there were no other vehicles involved and they're investigating what caused the motorcycle to end up on its side.

Eastbound lanes of the highway were shut down for several hours after the crash.
