A mother and son who were missing in the woods near Kearney Lake have been found safe.

At around 10 p.m. Monday, Halifax Regional Police were called to an area near the Maskwa Canoe Club to help find a 55-year-old woman who was lost in the woods.

The woman's 22-year-old son went into the woods looking for her before police arrived and then he got lost.
