Mooseheads away games to be broadcast in Grand Parade
Halifax is leading the series, two games to none in President Cup finals
Mooseheads fans are planning to take over the Grand Parade in Halifax both Tuesday and Wednesday night.
Fans can watch games three and four of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League championship President Cup final series between the Halifax Mooseheads and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar on the big screen.
The puck drops at 8:30 p.m. for both games.
According to the Halifax Regional Municipality Civic Events Facebook page, there will be prize giveaways throughout the night.
This is a free event.
Fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs to sit on and to dress in green and red.
To help people get there and back, Metro Transit is providing a special shuttle bus service from both the Alderney Gate and Mumford bus terminals.
Saturday night, the Mooseheads beat Drakkar 4-3 in a tense game that included several heated fights that brought fans to their feet.
Halifax is now up 2-0 in the series as the teams head to Quebec. The Mooseheads are on a winning streak, having won all 14 games of their playoff run.
There was another winner at the rink Saturday night. The ever popular 50/50 draw hit a new record with the lucky ticket holder taking home more than $30,000.
