Missing King's student found safe in Truro
Missing woman's sister said family was at a loss about disappearance
KashmalaFida — the 21-year-old woman who had not been seen since Tuesday — was found safe Thursday, Truro police confirm.
Fida, a University of King's College student, missed a medical appointment at the Colchester Regional Hospital on Tuesday and failed to return home as expected after supper that night.
Officers with the Truro Police Service told CBC News that Fida was spotted outside a residence on Lower Truro Road around 5 p.m. on Thursday.
She appeared to be in good health, police say, but she was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
Police say they're not sure why she disappeared.
Fida's family didn't want to talk to the media, but said she hadn't eaten in a few days.
She was able to eat dinner with her family after being cleared from the hospital.
The family says they haven't pushed Fida to explain why she disappeared.
They say they're first looking to get back to normal.
