Missing Dartmouth girls found safe and sound
Olivia Dawn Richard, 12, and Brianna Hope Richard, 13, have been located
Halifax Regional Police say two Dartmouth girls who went missing Monday evening have been found safe and sound.
Police say Olivia Dawn Richard, 12, and Brianna Hope Richard, 13, left the home of a family member on Gottingen Street in Halifax around 4 p.m. Monday, but didn't return to their residence in Dartmouth.
Police put out an appeal Tuesday afternoon for help finding them. They asked the girls, or anyone who knew where they were, to call police.
Police said they didn't think the girls had encountered any trouble, but were concerned for their safety because they are so young.
Police said in a news release issued shortly before 7 p.m. that the girls had been located.
