Metro Transit bus driver ticketed after pedestrian hit

Halifax Regional Police say they’ve charged a bus driver with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk after a woman was hit early Tuesday morning.

Halifax Regional Police say they’ve charged a bus driver with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk after a woman was hit early Tuesday morning.

The victim was crossing Wyse Road near Thistle Street in Dartmouth when she was hit.

Police said the Metro Transit driver was turning from Thistle St. to Wyse Road at the time.

The 26-year-old victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The driver, a 48-year-old woman, has now been charged.
