Many schools cancelled across Nova Scotia

Schools across Nova Scotia are closed for the second day in a row following a blizzard that dumped more than 10 centimetres of snow per hour at its peak.

Schools across Nova Scotia are closed for the second day in a row following a blizzard that dumped more than 10 centimetres of snow per hour at its peak.

So far the following schools are closed:

  • Halifax Regional School Board
  • Annapolis Valley Regional School Board
  • Chignecto Central Regional School Board 
  • Tri-County Regional School Board 
  • South Shore Regional School Board 
  • Cape Breton Victoria Regional School Board 
  • Strait Regional School Board 
  • King's View Academy in Halifax
  • Sandy Lake Academy in Bedford
  • Halifax Independent School 
  • Halifax Christian Academy 
  • Maritime Muslim Academy and Daycare
  • L. S. K. School in Indian Brook
  • Wagmatcook School
  • École Beauport closed for the day
  • Etoile de l'Acadie
  • Truro Campus of Dalhousie University closed until 12 p.m.
  • NSCC Truro Campus
  • NSCC Strait Area Campus 
  • NSCC Pictou Campus 
  • NSCC Cumberland CampusNSCCLunenburg campus
  • NSCC Marconi Campus
  • NSCC Campuses in HRM are opening at 10 a.m. Thursday, classes to begin at 10.30 a.m.
  • Cape Breton University closed until 10:30 a.m., then announcement will be made about status of afternoon classes 
  • St. Francis Xavier University will remain closed until 12 p.m.
  • Acadia University will delay opening until 11:30 a.m.
