Man stabbed in Dartmouth break-in
A young man was stabbed when three men armed with a knife and a gun forced their way into a Dartmouth apartment Thursday night, police say.
Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a disturbance call in Highfield Park at about 9:15 p.m.
When officers arrived, they discovered a 23-year-old man had been stabbed. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax where he was treated and later released.
The officers also found a significant amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia in the apartment.
A 22-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court Friday on a number of drug trafficking charges.
Police say the three suspects are described as white males wearing dark coloured hoodies.
