One man is in custody and another is in hospital after an altercation at a Bridgewater bar early Sunday morning.
Bridgewater Police said a 40-year-old was stabbed in the upper torso with a knife outside the Tops’l Tavern.
The victim was admitted to the intensive care unit at the South Shore Regional Hospital. Police said his injuries are not life threatening.
Police said they arrested a suspect at the scene. Jahmal Leslie Thomas, 32, of Bridgewater is in custody. He faces charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
He’s expected in provincial court Monday.
