Police in Nova Scotia say a man has been sent to hospital with serious injuries after a garage fire.

Police in Nova Scotia say a man has been sent to hospital with serious injuries after a garage fire.

Cape Breton Regional Police say officers were called to the blaze on Pitt Street in Sydney Mines on Saturday around 9:30 p.m.

They say firefighters had pulled a 72-year-old man from the burning garage. He was taken to a nearby hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
