A search and rescue technician remains in a Halifax hospital after being injured in a parachute training exercise on Wednesday afternoon.
The technician was practicing jumps near Cloud Lake in the Annapolis Valley when he was injured.
A Cormorant helicopter from Greenwood was in the area and flew the injured technician to the airport at Shearwater.
Capt. John Pulchny, spokesman for the base, said the SARTEC remains in a Halifax hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At the time of his injury, the technician was practicing something called confined-area jumps. Confined-area jumps include those into crash sites or other rescue situations.
