A brief lockdown at Horton High School in Kings County, N.S., has been lifted after an incident in the school's parking lot.

"The incident did not involve students, and as a precaution the outside doors of the school were locked until police arrived," said RCMP Const. Blair McMurty.

"At no time were the students in danger. The situation was resolved and the lockdown was lifted."

Police said the call came in around 11:10 a.m., and was resolved within an hour. McMurtry said there were adults involved, but not students.

He said he was not aware if any weapons were involved.

The Annapolis Valley Regional School Board said no staff members were involved.

No one was taken into custody.

Police are still investigating.
