A Halifax daycare that was destroyed by a suspicious fire earlier this week will be up and running in a new space Monday.

Little Ladybug’s Child Care Center will be temporarily moving into a new space at the University of King's College, which is just down the road from Little Ladybug's Coburg Road home.

“It’s devastating. There’s a lot of damage,” said owner Tanya Dalton.

Before it can reopen, Little Ladybug's will need to replace nearly all of its toys and furniture. Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, people can drop off donations to the new location at the University of King's College to help make the new space a home. Evening and weekend drop offs can also be arranged.

Little Ladybug's is looking for anything the children can use, such as toys and books.

“It’s a different space, but we’re going to make it our home, probably for the next six months,” said Dalton.

Dalton has no idea how much it will cost to replace what was damaged in the blaze.

"Everything was pretty much damaged, so we're starting over," she said.
