Jarvis Lane double stabbing prompts more charges
2 men survived stabbing, each facing multiple charges
Members of the Halifax Regional Police/RCMP General Investigation Section have laid more charges after a double stabbing on Jarvis Lane in Halifax early Saturday.
Police were called there Saturday at 12:10 a.m. where they found a 19-year-old man who had been stabbed multiple times in the torso.
He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the man was stabbed during an altercation with another man.
Later that morning, police arrested a 31-year-old man on Highfield Drive in Dartmouth. Police say that man also had stab wounds but survived.
A police investigation has determined the two men stabbed each other and this was not a random incident.
Both the 19-year-old and 31-year-old involved in the incident face the following charges:
- Aggravated assault.
- Assault with a weapon.
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
