Jamie Baillie endorsed as Progressive Conservative leader
Baillie led the PCs into Opposition
The Nova Scotia Progressive Conservatives overwhelmingly endorsed their leader on Saturday in a review vote at the party's annual general meeting.
The party says 95 per cent of voting members voted against holding a leadership conference.
Jamie Baillie, who led the Tories into Opposition last October, appeared tearful as he told the crowd at a hotel in Halifax that he was humbled by the vote of confidence.
The former Credit Union Atlantic president became leader of the party in August 2010.
He was first elected to the legislature in an October 2010 byelection in the riding of Cumberland South.
