Recreational fishermen from around the world descend on the Northumberland Strait
The catch-and-release bluefin tuna industry began approximately five years ago in the Northumberland Strait and it is now attracting sport fishermen from around the world.
There are 20 boats that belong to the Gulf Nova Scotia Tuna Charter Association — all in the catch-and-release business.
Information Morning's Phlis McGregor hopped aboard the Bottom Line III in Ballantynes Cove, near Antigonish, and spent the day fishing for the great bluefin tuna while learning about the sport.
