Hit-and-run driver injures Dartmouth crossing guard

Halifax Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a driver involved in a collision with a crossing guard in Dartmouth.

Police have description of vehicle, but not the driver

Halifax Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a driver involved in a collision with a crossing guard in Dartmouth.

On Jan. 31 at 8:50 a.m., a 69-year-old crossing guard was helping several kids at the intersection of Hawthorne Street and Prince Albert Road when he was hit by a car. He suffered minor injuries.

The vehicle didn't stop.

The car is described as a grey Pontiac and there is currently no description of the driver.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
