Highway 2 pedestrian-vehicle collision sends woman to hospital
61-year-old woman hit near Elmsdale
A Nova Scotia highway was shut down for several hours Saturday evening after a woman was hit by a vehicle.
RCMP say the accident happened on Highway 2 in Elmsdale around 5 p.m.
Police say a 61-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 16-year-old boy, was not injured.
A traffic analyst is investigating the cause of the crash.
