High-speed crash has SIRT investigating
Two cars, a bicycle and 5 people were involved in the crash, say RCMP
The province's Serious Incident Response Team is investigating after someone was injured following a short police chase Saturday afternoon.
At around 12:20 p.m., RCMP saw a vehicle speeding north on Cobequid Road in Lower Sackville. Police then pursued the car which, moments later, crashed near the Ultramar Gas Station at the corner of Glendale and Cobequid roads. Police say the passenger in the vehicle broke his arm.
Two cars, a bicycle and five people were involved in the crash.
Four of the five people involved were injured and taken to hospital. All have been released.
The Serious Incident Response Team investigates all serious incidents involving the police in the province, regardless of whether there is an allegation of wrongdoing.
