The head of a Halifax modelling agency is facing more fraud-related charges.
Linda Buchanan, the head of Strut International Model & Talent Agency, now faces 22 criminal charges of fraud and breach of conditions, an increase from the 18 charges that she was arraigned on at her last court appearance.
Buchanan is charged with 11 counts each of fraud under $5,000 and breaching probation.
The additional charges were laid just prior to Buchanan's court appearance on Wednesday in Halifax provincial court.
The businesswoman appeared in court without a lawyer but told the judge that Halifax lawyer Joel Pink is representing her. The case was adjourned until March, when Buchanan is due back in court for an election and plea on the 22 charges.
There was a confrontation between Buchanan and a photographer with The Chronicle Herald on Wednesday. She pushed the photographer's camera and took a swipe at a CBC camera before heading into the courtroom.
