Halifax software company given $500,000 provincial loan
ClearPicture Corp. will use money to bolster sales team and marketing programs.
The Halifax branch of a Canadian software company has been given a $500,000 repayable loan to help beef up its operations.
ClearPicture Corp. says it will use the loan from Nova Scotia Business Inc. to help grow its sales team and marketing programs.
"NSBI's assistance is a good jumping-off point to grow our sales team and enhance our marketing programs in order to increase sales," said Scott Murray, president and CEO of ClearPicture.
"This loan provides the immediate assistance we need to scale our company on a growth trajectory."
The company says the need to expand followed the introduction of new products in January.
ClearPicture specializes in cloud-based software and has
offices in Toronto and Ottawa.
Its clientele includes global companies such as IMP Group, IBM and Sony.
Nova Scotia Business Inc., the province's business lending agency, says the $500,000 is a secured and interest-bearing loan.
It is repayable over four years.
