A recent Halifax Mooseheads game got off to an ominous start when the team's mascot fell and his head popped off, but it only got worse from there.

During the pre-game introductions, team mascot Hal fell as he slid out on the ice. His head came off and in the rush to shove it back on, a flag he was also holding became ensnared in it.

Hal struggled to remove the flag and finally did got his head back on properly. The flag however, was wrapped up on itself and Hal had to unwind it with his giant mascot paws.

The Mooseheads lost the Jan. 9 game 8-4.
