Police in Halifax are asking for the public's help to find two men wanted in connection with an alleged abduction Sunday in the city's west end.

A warrant has been issued for the arrests of 21-year-old Robert Roech Chan and 20-year-old Daniel Angus Ryan, both of Halifax. They are believed to be in the city, according to police.

Officers were called to a house in the 3000 block of McAlpine Avenue at 4:50 a.m. on Sunday. A 19-year-old man called police from inside the home and told them he had been assaulted and was being held against his will by several men.

The man said one of the suspects had a handgun. The 19-year-old made his way out of the home to awaiting police members and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested at the scene and now face a number of charges. No firearms were found inside.

Now, Halifax Regional Police and RCMP are looking for Chan and Ryan.

Both men are facing nine weapons-related offences, in addition to one count each of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, kidnapping, unlawful confinement, uttering threats, extortion and robbery.

"They are considered armed and dangerous and members of the public should not approach them or try to take matters into their own hands," Const. Pierre Bourdages said in a statement.

Police said the victim and suspects know each other.
