Halifax man suffers fatal fall in Cape Breton
RCMP are investigating the death of a 65-year-old Halifax man in Meat Cove, at the northern tip of Cape Breton Island.
Police responded to a call that a man had fallen approximately 150 metres off a cliff and landed on the rocks below, just before 4 p.m.
Police, emergency responders and local fire services attended the scene.
The Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre was notified, but their services were called off as the man was found dead by the time rescue personnel reached him.
RCMP are continuing to investigate.
Police are not releasing the name of the man at this time.
