A new exhibit at the Halifax Citadel is trying to keep alive the memory of the thousands of Canadians who fought in the First World War.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the war.
The exhibit is called The Road to Vimy and Beyond. It features a model of the memorial at Vimy Ridge in France, along with weapons, photographs and displays that tell the story of the war and Canada's role.
The exhibit will run for four years, but the plan is to periodically change what’s on display so people can return and see something different each time.
