A man and woman face a string of drug and weapons charges after police searched a home in St. Margaret Village, in Cape Breton, on Thursday.

Ingonish RCMP seized three shotguns, three rifles, a set of brass knuckles, marijuana plants and marijuana, RCMP said in a release.

A 22-year-old man faces charges of producing and possessing marijuana, along with unsafe storage of a prohibited weapon and 20 other gun-related charges.

A 19-year-old woman faces a charge of production of marijuana and weapons offences.

Both the man and woman are scheduled to appear in Ingonish provincial court on Sept. 11.
