Halifax Regional Police say a gunman robbed the Shoppers Drug Mart in Bedford on Sunday evening.

A man covered his face with a scarf and walked into the pharmacy at 950 Bedford Highway at around 7:30 p.m., police said.

"A man approached the pharmacist, pointed a black handgun at her and demanded she give him drugs from the pharmacy," said Staff Sgt. Barb Saunders.

"The male obtained an undisclosed amount of narcotics and fled on foot from the store."

No one was injured. Police are looking for the man.
