A man is in police custody after a complaint of someone with a gun on Victoria Road in Sydney.

No one was hurt.

Cape Breton Regional Police spokesperson Sgt. Steve Ettinger says police were called at 8 a.m. Wednesday to a weapons complaint.

"We responded to a call about a shot being fired into an apartment on Victoria Road. When we got here, we spoke to the complainants and they pointed out where there was a hole in their wall. We went next door, where we feel it came from, spoke to the residents next door. As a result, one person has been arrested, another person has been taken in for questioning," he said.

CBRP arrested a man at a home on Victoria Road, around 8:30 a.m.     

It's not clear whether charges will be laid.
