Halifax singer-songwriter David Myles is celebrating after the popular American television show Grey's Anatomy played his song "Inner Ninja" on Thursday night.

The song, which also features rapper Classified, has already enjoyed popularity in Canada. It went triple-platinum and snagged them a Juno award.

Myles said the play south of the border could be huge for the performers.

"It just boosts the song's presence in the states," he said. "[Grey's Anatomy] has always been on leading edge of finding songs people don't necessarily know."
