One of the best Canadian golfers is coming to Halifax this summer.

Graham DeLaet will play an exhibition game on the Ashburn course as a warm up to a professional event in early July.

DeLaet, one of the top ranked Canadians in the world, and former Masters champion Mike Weir will team up with David Hearn to play three other golfers, who have yet to be named.

The event will happen in advance of the Nova Scotia Open, which is part of the Web.com tour. It’s the main circuit one tier below the PGA.

Organizers released details about the event on Tuesday.

The Nova Scotia government is investing $300,000 per year for two years.
