Glace Bay bust on Reservoir Avenue nets drugs, gun and ammunition

Two people have been charged with possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking after Cape Breton Regional Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Glace Bay.

Police charge two for possessing marijuana, hash, cocaine and pills for the purpose of trafficking

Two people are facing drug-related charges after Cape Breton Regional Police used a warrant to search a property in Glace Bay on Tuesday.

Police say they found and seized an undisclosed amount of cocaine, marijuana, hashish, prescription pills, a handgun and a "large quantity" of cash from the Reservoir Avenue residence.

A 43-year-old man is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and marijuana, along with possession of hashish, oxycodone, and dextroamphetamine.

Police said the man is also accused of possessing a handgun and ammunition without a licence, and unsafe storage of a firearm.

A 39-year-old woman faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and marijuana.

Both accused are scheduled to appear in Sydney provincial court on Wednesday.
