I've spotted a number of good deals around town this week. Some of them need coupons, but not all of them.
Here’s this week’s edition of The Real Deal:
1. Free March break activities
Chapters-Indigo is offering free activities during March break. Contact your local store to sign up. There’s something going on every day the week of March 11. Monday it’s “Hats Off To Dr. Seuss”. Wednesday is “ Ready, Set, Lego.”
Contact Chapters for more information.
2. Body wash
Dove Body Wash is on sale this week at Wal-Mart for $3. That’s a pretty good price, but here’s where the deal gets better: You’ll find a printable coupon at Smartsource.ca for $2 off. There’s also a rebate on this product available on the Checkout51 app for $1.50. The app is available for smartphones.
3. Goldfish crackers
Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers are on sale at Walmart for $1.67. You’ll find a tear-pad coupon at Sobey’s and some superstore locations that takes $1 off when you buy two. Your final price on this product: $1.17 each after coupon.
Superstore has select Kellogg’s cereals on sale for 2.99. There’s a $1.50 coupon available from websaver.ca making these $1.49 a box. The cereal usually sells for more than $5 per box, so this is a really great deal.
Lever bar soap is on sale at Walmart for $1.99 this week. You’ll find a $2 rebate on the Checkout51 app. Pay taxes only on this product.
Tip of the week
Check your flyers very carefully, especially when you see sales on the same items. For example this week, Pepperidge Farms Goldfish crackers are on sale at two different stories this week. Walmart has them for $1.67 a box. They’re on for $2.47 at Shoppers Drug Mart — a difference of $0.70.
A sale isn’t always a sale.
