A fire at a Preston Street structure in Halifax’s Quinpool Road area had flames shooting out of the eaves.

There were five trucks and more than a dozen firefighters on the scene of a white house on fire at 1977 Preston Street Sunday evening. 

At least three firefighters went into the structure, each wearing a self-contained breathing apparatus. Smoke and flames could be seen from the street.

Crews had Preston Street blocked off between Quinpool Road and Pepperell Street.

There are no injuries reported at this time.
