Firefighters battle Liverpool barn fire
Firefighters in Liverpool, N.S., battled a livestock barn fire Saturday morning that is presumed to have killed animals inside.
Fire crews from multiple stations fought the blaze, which broke out around 7 a.m. on Eastern Shore Road. The fire also threatened a nearby house.
"It was fully involved and it was starting to heat up the house," Liverpool fire Chief Steven Parnell said.
"The guys pretty much kept their concentration on the house to get that cooled down and make sure that was OK and then they turned back over to the barn."
He said it's believed there were sheep, lamas and chickens in the barn.
