Fire truck crash on Highway 103 injures 3

Two firefighters have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a firetruck on Highway 103 near the Bayers Lake exit.

According to Halifax fire, all three are being treated for injuries that are not serious

Two firefighters and another driver were injured after a crash involving a firetruck on Highway 103 near the Bayers Lake exit.

Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency tweeted some of the details of the crash, just after 12 p.m.

Halifax fire says the truck, with lights and sirens on, was slowing down near an accident scene on Highway 103 around noon when it was involved in the crash. 

The two firefighters and the driver in the other vehicle were being treated at the scene. Phil McNulty, executive fire officer, says no one was seriously injured.

Police are investigating.
