Fire north of Liverpool contained
A man was home alone, but wasn't injured
A Tuesday afternoon fire in Milton, north of Liverpool, has been contained thanks to the quick response of fire officials, said Liverpool fire chief Stephen Parnell.
Parnell said the call came in just after 12:00 p.m. to Morley Street.
He said the fire started in the kitchen and was contained quickly. However he said there is heavy smoke and water damage throughout the house.
Parnell said a man was home alone when the fire started. He was taken to hospital as a precaution but was not injured. He said the family has insurance.
The scene was cleared around 1:30 p.m.
