Federal ethics commissioner probes ECBC CEO
The federal ethics commissioner is investigating a case involving the CEO of the controversial Enterprise Cape Breton Corporation.
A spokeswoman for Ethics Commissioner Mary Dawson said the office is investigating John Lynn.
The commissioner's office would not delve into the details of the case.
ECBC has been under fire for its plan to demolish the Royal Cape Breton Yacht Club building on the Sydney waterfront while spending $4 million to build a new marina located about 20 kilometres from Sydney.
Lynn has rejected the suggestion that his status as a boater with property on the Bras d'Or Lake represents a conflict of interest.
The corporation invested $4 million in the project, 83 per cent of the total cost, located about 20 kilometres from Sydney.
