A man died in a heavy equipment accident at a property near River John in Nova Scotia's Colchester County.
Just before 1 p.m., Colchester RCMP, Tatamagouche Fire Services and paramedics responded to an emergency call. The man was dead when they arrived on scene.
Police said the 69-year-old man died when he was trapped between the bucket arm and body of an excavator on a private property in the hamlet of Middleton, near River John.
The matter has been turned over to the medical examiner’s office.
The victim's name has not been released.
