Food, film and festivities, all set in the quaint and beautiful Town of Wolfville - it's a recipe for a truly delectable and entertaining event. Devour! Food and Film Fest takes place from Oct. 25-29 and has a mouthwatering lineup of food and film events, tastings and workshops.
This year's Opening Gala Film, presented by CBC, is the The Hundred-Foot Journey curated by award-winning Canadian film icon, Gordon Pinsent. It kicks off the Festival on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Al Whittle Theatre.
The Nourish Nova Scotia Food & Film Challenge Award for youth will also be presented as part of the special evening. The winning filmmaker will receive a $500 prize to put toward a healthy eating program or initiative and a GoPro HERO 5 Session from CBC Nova Scotia.
UPDATED: Information Morning with Don Connolly will be live from Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards (11143 Evangeline Trail) on Friday, Oct. 27 from from 5:55 - 8:37 a.m. The broadcast is open to the public and there will be lots of hot coffee to get your day going.
In addition to a great lineup of events and films, a few celebrities will also be in town. Jacques Pépin, Michael Smith, Bob Blumer and Mark Greenaway are among the celebrated chefs taking part in this year's Festival.
